What drives Thommas Linnrose to make his paintings, is the need for expressing his thought and ideas and the struggle of solving of problems that always occurs on the canvas, when the painting process of a new work begins.

Early on he started painting figurative paintings and studied the old masters techniques and workmanship, learning the uses of oil colors and the ways of building up paint layers to create illusions. For several years he was painting only for training purpose, to obtain the skills needed to express his thoughts in the paintings.

Now Thommas has picked up the brushes again and started to create his world of magical realistic paintings. The first series of paintings explores what happens in during childhood and youth, and how it shapes the future.
